Fees, Liability & Insurance

The amounts that we charge for our services are based on labour time only, and not on the intrinsic or resale value of the goods entrusted to us.

While we exercise the utmost care and diligence during all setting, engraving, and repair processes, due to the delicate nature of the goods involved, we cannot guarantee the complete avoidance of damage. Customers, by sending their goods to A&F Setting, acknowledge these risks, and accept that A&F Setting shall not be held liable for any damage arising during such processes.

Upon completion of work, items are returned using Royal Mail Special Delivery (insured and tracked), unless otherwise agreed. Risk in the goods passes to the customer once the parcel is handed to Royal Mail. In the unlikely event of loss or damage in transit, compensation will be limited to the amount recoverable under Royal Mail’s insurance.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have adequate insurance cover for the full replacement value of their items and may request alternative arrangements if required. A&F Setting will provide reasonable assistance in making any claim against Royal Mail where appropriate.
