About us
We are Ana Guerra and Fernando F. Escuder, a husband-and-wife team originally from Málaga. In 2014, we relocated to Bath when Fernando joined Nicholas Wylde Goldsmith Ltd. as their in-house gem and diamond setter.
Before moving to the UK, Fernando worked for over 15 years as a stone setter and engraver in southern Spain, serving professional jewellery clients across the Costa del Sol and Madrid. After nearly nine years at Nicholas Wylde, we established A&F Setting in April 2023.
Since the studio’s inception, Ana has managed the administrative tasks of the business, providing the structure that allows Fernando to focus entirely on delivering precise, high-quality gem setting.
Through A&F Setting, we support independent jewellery designer-makers with specific and often complex setting requirements, while also working with established jewellers seeking traditional hand-setting techniques, fine micro-setting, and reliable specialist support.
